        Personal information is considered sensitive when unauthorized disclosure creates a high risk to the individual (for example financial, medical, or biometric data).<\/span><\/p>\n

          Uni-Recycle Inc. undertakes to collect only the information strictly necessary for the intended purposes. Depending on the context, the following information may be collected:<\/span><\/p>\n

          • Contact information: address, email address, phone number<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Professional information: job title, employer<\/span><\/li>\n

          • Payroll information: Social Insurance Number (SIN)<\/span><\/li>\n

                        6.1 Retention Periods<\/b><\/h3>\n

                        Personal information is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law.<\/span><\/p>\n

                        • Employee files (active): duration of employment + 7 years<\/span><\/li>\n
                        • Employee files (terminated): 7 years after employment ends<\/span><\/li>\n
                        • R\u00e9sum\u00e9s (unsuccessful applicants): 2 years<\/span><\/li>\n
                        • System logs and access logs: 12 months<\/span><\/li>\n
                        • Analytical browsing data (cookies): maximum 13 months<\/span><\/li>\n
                        • General correspondence: 3 years<\/span><\/li>\n
                        • Confidentiality incident register: 5 years<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                          After the retention period expires, personal information is securely destroyed or anonymized.<\/span><\/p>\n

                          6.2 Storage Locations<\/b><\/h3>\n

                          Personal information is stored on secure servers located in Canada.<\/span><\/p>\n

                          Uni-Recycle Inc. uses Microsoft 365 cloud services (OneDrive and SharePoint) where confidential information may be stored.<\/span><\/p>\n

                          In certain cases, information may be stored outside Canada if an authorized service provider is located abroad. When this occurs, the information may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. Uni-Recycle Inc. ensures that such providers offer adequate data protection safeguards.<\/span><\/p>\n

                            7. Security Measures<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                            Uni-Recycle Inc. implements organizational, physical, and technical security measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, or destruction.<\/span><\/p>\n

                            These measures include:<\/span><\/p>\n

                            • SSL\/TLS encryption for communications<\/span><\/li>\n
                            • Role-based access control and the principle of least privilege<\/span><\/li>\n
                            • Secure username and password authentication<\/span><\/li>\n

                                Under the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (CQLR c. P-39.1) as amended by Law 25, you have the following rights:<\/span><\/p>\n

                                8.1 Right of Access and Correction<\/b><\/h3>\n

                                You may request access to personal information we hold about you and request corrections if necessary. A response will be provided within 30 days, subject to identity verification.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                8.2 Right to Withdraw Consent<\/b><\/h3>\n

                                You may withdraw consent to the use of your personal information for commercial or promotional communications at any time.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                8.3 Right to Data Portability<\/b><\/h3>\n

                                Since September 2024, you may request that computerized personal information you provided be communicated in a structured and commonly used technological format, or transferred to another organization where technically feasible.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                8.4 Right to De-Indexing<\/b><\/h3>\n

                                You may request the removal of hyperlinks associated with your name that provide access to personal information if their dissemination violates the law or a court order.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                8.5 Right to Object<\/b><\/h3>\n

                                You may object to the use of your personal information for certain purposes, including commercial solicitation.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                Requests must be submitted in writing to the Person Responsible for Personal Information Protection.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                  9. Personal Information of Minors<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                  Uni-Recycle Inc. does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16 without explicit consent from a parent or legal guardian.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                  If a parent or guardian becomes aware that such information has been provided without authorization, they are invited to contact us. Immediate measures will be taken to delete the data.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                    10. Management of Confidentiality Incidents<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                    A confidentiality incident refers to any event, intentional or accidental, that results in or could result in unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, loss, or destruction of personal information.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                    Incidents are classified based on potential impact:<\/span><\/p>\n

                                    Minor incidents<\/span><\/p>\n

                                    Limited risk and quickly correctable.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                    Major incidents<\/span><\/p>\n

                                    Significant exposure requiring corrective actions and potentially mandatory notification.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                    All incidents must be reported immediately to the Person Responsible for the Protection of Personal Information, and a register of incidents is maintained for at least five years.<\/span><\/p>\n
